Central Heating Systems

We supply and fit whole systems including controls as well as servicing and maintaining existing installations. The new central heating systems we fit include conventional and combination condensate systems. We can also carry out upgrades to existing systems where a new complete system is not required.

On average boilers last for 12 years before they start to lose their efficiency. In 2005 regulations were passed that all new gas boilers had to be high efficiency condensing boilers and in 2010 a further regulation was added that states that any new boiler installed must be ‘A’ rated or at least 88% efficient. Our Engineers will be happy to discuss the different types of boilers and what the efficiency rating means to you when they visit your property.

Following a site visit our engineers will make a recommendation as to the best type of boiler suitable for your requirements.

Mills Heating & Plumbing Engineers fit BAXI boilers due to their award winning and energy efficient range. We will discuss which boilers are available and advise you which is best for your requirements.

We only fit boilers that carry the SEDBUK Band ‘A’ rating and are recommended by The Energy Savings Trust. SEDBUK stands for Seasonal Efficiency of a Domestic Boiler in the UK and is the national standard for energy performance.

This will of course depend on how efficient your current boiler is. As a guide though, if your boiler is over 15 years old it is likely to be G-Rated which means that by fitting a new A-Rated boiler you could save on average £225 on your energy bill per year. If your boiler is less than 15 years old then of course the potential savings will be less.
